It began its journey in Feb 1963, when Shri Jugal Kishore, the then Education Minister of UP & a disciple of Swami Janardan Ji Paramhans, laid Foundation stone of a school at Muni Ki Reti , Rishikesh. The School was recognized as High School in the year 1980 & as Intermediate College in the year 1987 by the Government.
