About Cambrian Hall School

The late Col. Shashi Shumshere J.B. Rana, a veteran politician and an educationist, was a firm believer in the significance of education for the promotion of social change and development. In 1954, along with Mrs. Maude Mainwaring as the first Principal, he opened the school and thus began an illustrious voyage, as history filled its pages with the golden events that now enrich the narrative of Cambrian Hall.

A strong vision coupled with steady commitment, five students and one dream along with the perseverance of Col. Shashi Shumshere J.B. Rana, Cambrian Hall made a modest beginning.

Today, Cambrian Hall is one of the top schools in Dehradun with students from varied backgrounds and outstanding alumni spread across the globe.
