The destiny of nation is shaped in the class rooms. Hence, an institution of teacher education can do enormous job of nation building by imparting necessary training to the pupil teachers. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme aims at developing the understanding & competencies required by teachers for effective teaching learning process at the secondary stage. The programme also provides opportunities of sharing knowledge gained by teachers. In addition, it provides knowledge & develops in them an understanding of areas such as educational evaluation, school management, etc. in them.

Keeping this view in mind, the Uttaranchal College of Education established in the year 2006. It is Constituent College of the Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun Uttrakhand and approved by N.C.T.E.. It was started with a annual intake of 100 students. The institution strictly follows rules and regulations laid down by the governing body.
