About Wynberg-Allen School

In Kanpur, during the year 1887, a group of friends, Mr. Alfred Powell, Mr. And Mrs. Arthur Foy and Brig. J H Condon met and decided to set up a school in Mussoorie. These great people, our founders, established a school at Jaberkhet along the Tehri Road in 1888.

In 1894, the school was shifted to the present Wynberg Estate from where the seed planted in 1888 really began to take root, blossom and flourish while it grew into the institution the school is today. In 1916 The Wynberg-Allen Homes Society was formed, the object of which was to govern a school that would provide holistic education to students, based on Protestant Christian principles.

Admission Process In Wynberg-Allen School

The official Application form which can be found in the Prospectus, must be completed and sent in for registration by paying the Registration Fee, which is non-refundable. However, the registration does not guarantee a seat to the student seeking admission, for that the child has to sit for an entrance test.

Admission to Wynberg-Allen School is a privilege and not a right. To avail of this privilege , all the terms and conditions included in the prospectus have to be fulfilled.

Recommendations for admission from any source will DISQUALIFY a prospective candidate. Parents are, therefore, advised to approach the Principal’s Office personally for admission and not through any other person or persons.

For a child seeking admission for the first time, a Transfer Certificate from the previous School must be furnished before joining School. For those coming from outside Uttarakhand, the Transfer Certificate must be countersigned by the appropriate education authority of the State concerned. Submission of a certified copy of the Birth Certificate of the student is mandatory.

The date of birth once entered in the Admission Register will NOT be altered under any circumstances. On withdrawal, a Transfer Certificate will be issued if prior notice has been given and all dues have been cleared.

The candidates have to sit for an entrance examination/interview in order to avail of the vacant seats posted by the school office. Those children who are registered will be notified of the date of the examination.
