About The Montessori School

The Montessori School was established in 1943 under the sole proprietorship of Mrs. Latika Roy, founder, until 31st March 1992. From 1st April 1992, it was operating under the management of the The Montessori School had a modest start with only 3-children from ‘The Doon School’ campus. Mrs Latika Roy was the patron who received her training from Madame Maria Montessori and named it as The Montessori School, the name continues today, It is one of the oldest school and has its own place amongst the Prestigious Schools in the “School City” Dehradun.

Admission Procedure

Registration is open for all classes and the vacancies, depending on the number of seats that will be available at the end of the year. The official application form must be completed and may be deposited with the school office.

The management reserves the right to admit and refuse pupils seeking admission to the school based on present frameworks of rules.
Registration forms will be available in the school office, Pupils seeking admission will be tested ,then admitted only on merit and other talents.
A parents or guardian of new students seeking admission to play group or K.G must produce an authentic and official Birth Certificate.
A new student joining classes I/II or above cannot be admitted unless his previous recognized school’s T.C is produce in original countersigned by the concerned authorities.
The admission fee, the security fee and the first installment of tuition fees must be paid in advance to complete the admission formalities.

AGE CRIETERIA FOR ADMISSION

Play Group (PKG)	Minimum age 2 years 6 months as on 1st of April of the year in which admission is sought.
Lower Kindergarten (LKG)	Minimum age 3 years 6 months as on 1st April of the year in which the admission is sought.
Upper Kindergarten (UKG)	Minimum age 4 years 6 months as on 1st April of the year in which the admission is sought.
Class I	Minimum age 5 years 6 months as on 1st April of the year in which the admission is sought. Respectively for all claasses as per the vacancies.
