About St. Ann’s Senior Secondary School
St. Ann’s Senior Secondary School, Roorkee is an Educational Institution, run by the catholic minority community, named after the sisters of St. Ann, established in the year 1953 and is affiliated to and recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The sisters have their houses in Italy, India, USA, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Philippines and Cameroon fulfilling their mission of Christian formation of children and youth and at the same time renders other charitable services like health care, social work and education for the poor.
In India, they have several schools in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and autonomous colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Admission Process In St. Ann’s Senior Secondary
Registration
At the time of registration the birth certificate should be produced and once registered date of birth cannot be altered.
Withdrawal
Application for Transfer Certificate must be made on the prescribed form printed in the diary and a sum of Rs. 50/- will be levied as T.C. fees. No Leaving Certificate will be issued to parents until all the dues have been paid
Promotions
Parents are expected to accept the decision of the school authorities, regarding the promotion as final.
School Diary
Students should bring the school diary daily to the school and parents should look into the diary to see the lessons and homework assigned for the next day. Remarks made in the diary need to be countersigned regularly by the parents. Students should carry their diary for morning assembly.
Leave
It is essential that the school be informed when the child is detained at home. In case of illness or other unforeseen circumstances leave of absence should invariably be obtained in writing certified by her parent/ guardian on the record page of the diary. Valid Medical Certificate with prescription to be accompanied alongwith the application if the leave is for more than 3 days.
Fees
Fees are to be deposited according to the instructions given in the fee book, in the prescribed bank. For those whose fees in arrears, will not be allowed to sit for any of the exams.
Library
Books will be issued to students during the library periods. Magazines, periodicals and reference books will not be issued to their home, instead to be consulted only during school hours. Fine shall be levied for misuse, wrong handling, marking, underlining, annotating or defacing of any book. If lost one has to pay the full price of the book.
SILENCE IS TO BE OBSERVED IN THE LIBRARY
Punctuality
The school insists on strict punctuality and so the pupil should arrive at least five minutes before the bell, and should be present with all that is necessary for the day's work.
Cleanliness
The students must be clean and tidy in their person, dress and manners, books to be kept clean and covered. Scribbling on books, desks, walls etc is strictly forbidden.
Permissions
Children are not allowed to wear gold articles. No child is allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal. No collection, party, picnic, demonstration, meeting etc. to be organised without the prior permission of the Principal. Civil dress is not allowed on birthdays.
