The institute has become a centre of excellence in Paramedical & Nursing education in North India. The CIMS&R is affiliated to the prestigious Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University and is approved by Government of Uttarakhand, Nursing Council of India, New Delhi and Indian Association of Physiotherapists.“

The present institute campus is spread over in an area of 15,000 sq.metres, which includes the administrative block, library, cafeteria, lecturer theatres and laboratories of different departments, on the national highway at Haridwar Road, Dehradun approx 10 Kms. from Clock Tower.
